FREESCO no longer my main router/firewall

The day I've dreaded has finally come, my FREESCO is no longer my main router/firewall!

My FREESCO is now "degraded" to a mere web server, hosting several web sites.

Several packages will stop working, because the FREESCO is no longer monitoring the main internet connection and is no longer acting as router for my LAN.

I guess all things must at some point end to make room for new things.

I have to ask why ?
I'm nearly in a similar position I have been using Freesco for 11 years its been doing its job very well. It ran out of disk space a couple of days ago and I though ok install a new version while I'm at it. Ah no cant find a floppy drive. Might be time to move on to something that easily uses a pen drive to install.
I use Freesco as a router, firewall, DHCP server, and usage logging with IPFM. I did use it as a samba file server but it was to slow and doesn't handle 2 TB SATA disks.
What have you replaced it with ?
