Kernel Overview 032 kernels: The .vpn kernel is less stable than the others but may be required for some VPN setups. Try it with the pptp kernel first is recommended. The triton kernel is for Intel Triton chipset motherboards and supports busmastering DMA mode, LS120 and atapi ZIP drives. This kernel is optimized for pentium cpu's and should be treated as experimental. The p2triton is optimized for Pentium Pro/P2-P4 and supports APM as well. All of these kernels can be used with Apache, have CD-ROM support as well as the ICMP patch applied. Older kernels: All kernels are compiled using a patched 2.0.39 linux kernel source and most kernels have sys_vipc, CDrom, and ISO9660 built in.
